William Warren Maynard, born to Alice and Warren Maynard in Minot, ND on August 16, 1942, passed away at the age of 80 on Sunday, May 14, 2023 in Alexandria, MN in the loving company of his family.

Better known to many as Bill, Dad, Grandpa, and Maynard, Bill was a man of many talents, possessed saint-like patience, and above all loved endlessly. His family will remember him for his smile, quick wit, unmatched fishing abilities, and his famous fish fry.

Bill had a strong passion for all things outdoors. He shared his love and knowledge of hunting, fishing, watersports and more with everyone around him. Conservation was equally important to him which is why supporting and becoming an active member of the Viking Sportsmen's organization was so important to him.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Warren Maynard, grandson Maxwel Willis, and survived by his devoted wife of 44 years Ginger Maynard, his children Staci (Mark) Lautigar, Kari (Darwin) Haugtvedt, Sheila (Scott) Heifort, Tony (Jill) Bridge, sister Alana Maynard, several nieces and nephews, his grandchildren Mandi (Brandon) Markwardt, Tyler (Ceili) Haugtvedt, Cole Heifort, Tanner Haugtvedt, Kyle Heifort, Elizabeth Bridge, Carson Bridge, and his great-granddaughter Nova Willis.

A memorial service will be held to honor the life of Bill on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN. Visitation is from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church.
