It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart we must announce William “Bill” Eugene Reynolds, passed into his heavenly home on July 30, 2024. William, 92, was born July 8, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is the third child of five, born to the late Henry T. and Hazel I. (Hulsey) Reynolds.

William served in the United States Army for 20 years. He served in Korea and Vietnam. William loved the Lord and was a minister and gospel singer throughout his whole life. He never met a stranger, always had a kind word, prayer and a handshake for all he encountered. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of more than 54 years, Ellen I. Reynolds; three siblings, Lyda Smotherman, Ann Mahr and Christian “Chris” Reynolds.

William is survived by his wife of 20 years, Blanchie Weaks (Davis) Reynolds; children, Nancy Reynolds of St. Louis, Terry Reynolds and wife Robin of St. Louis, Tim Reynolds and wife Kristin of Sarasota, Florida, Jim Weaks and wife Debbie of Chicago, Linda May and husband Ray of Farmington; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Henry T. Reynolds; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, August 5, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Reverends Dwight Jones, Jack Hembree and J.C. Moore will be officiating. Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association
