In Loving Memory of William "Billy" Earl Ray, Jr.
February 10, 1969 – July 1, 2025
With broken hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Billy Ray, a devoted husband, proud father, cherished friend, and hardworking man who left an unforgettable mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Billy passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the age of 56, leaving behind a legacy of honesty, loyalty, and love.
Billy was known for his lively spirit, blunt honesty, and his unwavering respect for others. He never sugarcoated the truth, but his words were always sincere and grounded in care. He lived life with purpose, worked with pride, and gave of himself freely to those he loved. Whether you needed a helping hand, a good laugh, or a reality check, Billy was there—always dependable, always real.
He dedicated his life to supporting his family through hard work in the HVAC industry, where his grit, skill, and commitment earned him respect far and wide. Billy found joy in being a provider, a problem-solver, and the man who made things work, not just in buildings, but in life.
At home, Billy was the foundation of his family—a loving and steady partner to his wife, a guiding light to his children, and a man whose love spoke louder through actions than words ever could. His presence was a comfort, his laugh was contagious, and his strength was unmatched.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Domisha Ray; his children, Nola Ray, Gavin Carriaga, and Rylie Carriaga; as well as numerous friends and extended family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA 71118, followed by a Celebration of Life. Zoom details are to be announced for those unable to attend in person.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
—Matthew 25:23
As we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing Billy has been welcomed at the gates of Heaven, his soul now at peace. We pray that God’s eternal love surrounds him and brings peace to all who grieve his loss.
