William Burris "Bill" Bingham, 81, passed away January 1, 2026, at his home in Ammon, Idaho.
Bill was born July 22, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, to Ernest Burris Bingham and Julia Catherine Laurent Bingham who preceded him in death. He grew up in Westchester, California, graduating from Westchester High School, as well as attending Santa Monica College.
On March 5, 1966, Bill married Linda Elaine Grelck at St. Jerome Church in Los Angeles, California. Together, they had six children, Francine, William, James, Antony, Daniel, and Mary, but were later divorced. Bill was always very devoted to his children and grandchildren.
Bill was a devout practicing Roman Catholic. For almost 47 years, he worked at the Auto Club of Southern California, retiring as a Senior Systems Programmer in Technology in August of 2012. Bill enjoyed trains, airplanes, classic cars, classical music, and history, especially World War II. He also enjoyed being a HAM Radio operator, even earning his certification in this field.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Francine Marie (Tom) Culley of Hendersonville, Tennessee; son, William Francis Bingham of Idaho Falls; son, James Patrick Bingham of Orinda, California; son, Antony John (Tiffany) Bingham of Fountain Valley, California; son, Daniel Bingham of Ammon, Idaho; daughter, Mary Martha (Gary) Bunn of Wittmann, Arizona; sister, Susan Marie Bingham of Idaho Falls; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 905 South Lee Avenue. A Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. prior to mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Franciscan University of Steubenville, Holy Rosary Catholic School of Idaho Falls, or a charity of your choice.
