William Charles Blaul

William Charles Blaul, 69, of Irving, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. He was born on December 5, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of William Bernard and Susan Blaul. William grew up in Posen, IL and attended Bremen High School. On April 16, 1982 he married the love of his life Trudie Lynn. William spent 30 years at Metal Systems Inc., as a foreman, which he deeply enjoyed. He was passionate about engineering and fabricating his custom ideas from scratch as well as indulging in conversation and thought about mechanics, construction, history, science, and politics. William loved applying his skills for neighbors and others around him in any way he could, especially loved when those he helped bragged about his work. William's mind was never idle, he was always looking for a problem to solve or something to fine-tune in any aspect of his or his family's life. William was a strong and caring husband and father, instilling the values of pushing forward to always make progress and to seek perfection.
William is preceded in death by his mother, Susan; sister, Peggy; cousin, Kathryn; brother-in-laws, Mike, Terry; best friend, Gary.
He is survived by his loving wife, Trudie; sons, William and Robert; daughter Melissa; among numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday, July 19th from 5-7 pm at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 20th at 10:00 am in the Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
