William A. 'Bill' Bloom

William A. "Bill" Bloom, 87, of Fairyland Road, Lehighton, Franklin Township, died early Saturday morning, Feb. 21, 2026, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township. He was the husband of the late Jean P. (Haupt) Bloom, who passed away in 2018.

Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late George and Mabel (Kressley) Bloom.

Bill was employed by the former New Jersey Zinc Co., West Plant, Palmerton, in the packing department for 38 years.

He was a social member of the American Legion Post and the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club, both of Lehighton.

Surviving are a daughter, Kimberly A., wife of John Kanas of Catawissa, Columbia County; sons, Randall W., and wife, Susan, Todd R. and Ryan, and fiancée, Louisa Krause, all of Lehighton, and Shawn, and wife, Sarah, of Palmerton; three grandchildren, Amber, Tyler and Jocelyn; two great-grandchildren; a sister Donna, wife of Donald Getz of Lehighton; a brother Richard, and wife, Donna, of Lehighton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by brothers, Donald and Nevin.
