William "Bill" Blumenstein passed away peacefully at the age of 90.
He was a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native who relocated to Sarasota to enjoy an active lifestyle and the warm climate.
As a fighter pilot in the Navy he broke the sound barrier in 1957. A gifted and talented artist with a water colored painting "Quiet Waters" featured as July's artist of the month in The Fountains community calendar (which can be seen on the right OR click on the painting cycling over his profile picture to get a larger view of it).
Bill was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather (Pop Pop) and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
