I graduated from high school with Ralph. So sorry to hear this. I talked to him about a month ago about attending our 50th class reunion. He stated that he would try to come. Prayers for his family.

William R. BoardsAugust 31, 1956 — October 4, 2024Rochester

 

Died peacefully surrounded by family. 

Survived by his wife Edna “Pam” Boards, children Tramayne Boards, Lonntay (Maurice) Dunbar-Barber, LaToya (Joseph) Padilla and Linell (Samyra) Dunbar. Grandchildren Alana, Jazmyn, Mariyah, Adrianne, Alyssa, Gabryelle, Adrian, Isaiah, Imani, Isabella, Cartier and great grandson Jhamarion. Siblings: Rita (deceased Michael) Ragland, Henry (Linda) T. Boards Jr., Leonard (Judith) Boards, Geneva Boards-Higgins, 6 brothers and 2 sisters in-laws, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Preceded in death by loving parents Henry T. and Virginia Boards, and younger brother Marcus Wayne Boards.

 Ralph was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Graduated from Warren East high school class of 1974. As a child he was baptized at Icy Sink Church. He played football throughout high school and his love of football carried over into adulthood “Go Bills!” “Fantasy champ”. Later on in life he moved to Rochester, New York and began dj’ing where he met his wife Pam, the love of his life. He was a master class spades player, playing weekly with his crew. Ralph was loved my many and will be missed dearly. He was a one of a kind, unforgettable, unapologetic, beautiful soul.

Family will receive friends 12noon-3pm Saturday October 12, 2024 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (GREECE LOCATION). Interment at the convenience of the family.
