William "Bill" Bohn, age 35, of Rib Lake, WI passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 as the result of a tragic car accident.
William John Bohn was born on December 2, 1986, in Fort Bragg, NC; the son of Steven and June (Taylor) Bohn. Bill's father was career military, so he was raised in North Carolina, California, Tennessee, and Arizona, wherever his father was stationed. When Bill turned eighteen, he got on a plane to Wisconsin and left Arizona. He joined his Uncle Mike doing carpentry work at Architectural Products of Wausau. In 2007, he joined the carpenter's union. He worked with APW for several years before branching off to Design Point Exteriors. During his time with both companies he worked as a carpenter and later as a foreman. He was currently working on a renovation project at the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.
On June 29, 2013, Bill was joined in marriage to Jacki A. Tainter at Mount Pisgah Church in Ontario, WI. After they were married, Bill and Jacki and their family resided in Norwalk, WI until August of 2021. They found their forever home in Rib Lake and moved their family to "The Bohnstead." When Bill wasn't working, he enjoyed being outdoors doing special activities with his children, spending time with family, and doing anything he could to help those in need. He always enjoyed when his wife would say, "Honey, I've been thinking..." He loved Jacki with every ounce he had & would always say, "Whatever makes you happy, Baby." Bill was rarely seen without a "shit eatin' grin" on his face. He was one of the most selfless people any one had ever met.
Bill is survived by the love of his life, Jacki; three children, Shelby, Marlee, and Lincoln; parents, Steve and June Bohn of Hazelhurst, WI; four siblings, Elizabeth (Lee) Barker of Neenah, WI, Anthony Bohn of Hazelhurst, WI, Sara Bohn of Hazelhurst, WI, and Stephanie (Alex) Westrick of Columbus, OH; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins on the Bohn side. Another very special family are the Filipiaks, who "adopted" him into their family when he moved back to Wisconsin. He is further survived by the entire Tainter family, who absolutely loved & adored him. Bill had many friends - especially his best bud and cousin, Andy.
Since Bill's love was so widespread, the family invites anyone to attend the following services:
There will be a Celebration of Bill's Life on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 12:00pm at the Willow Haven Bar & Grill, 4877 Haven Dr., Hazelhurst, WI. 54531.
Pastor Bob Streeter will provide a prayer, with a meal to follow. The family welcomes all to enjoy this day remembering Bill.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 10:00am at Mt. Pisgah Wesleyan Church at E13192 Pisgah Rd, Ontario, WI 54651 with a service to follow at 1:00pm.
Following the service, Bill's family invites all to join them for a meal in the church basement.
