William G. "Bill" Bolts

William G. Bolts (Bill) of San Angelo passed away August 9, 2023. He was 92 years old. He was born in Neligh, Nebraska on March 24, 1931, to parents Granville and Fern (Recroft) Bolts.
Bill served 4 years in the United States Navy. He had active duty on an aircraft carrier during the Korean war. He attended Arizona State University after being discharged from military service. He graduated with a Bachelors' degree in business. Bill married Nancy Jane Fletcher in Tempe, Arizona on June 4, 1954. They were married 69 years and raised 3 daughters. He retired from General Telephone (GTE) after 25 years of employment in the engineering and outside plant divisions. Bill enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, and a good game of golf.
Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy Bolts, and two of his daughters, Kerrie Jensen and Amy Fettig. His oldest grandson is Jason Deremo of San Angelo and his wife Ruth and their daughter Kelsey. His second grandson is Michael Hicks of Brunswick, Ohio and his wife Shelli and their daughter Murrayah. Bill's youngest grandson is Dylan Bolts of Austin, Texas. Bill was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Gretchen Hicks.
The graveside service will be Monday, August 14, 2023, at 10 am at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo.
