Breaux Bridge- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, for William “Willie” Bossier, 60, who passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Thursday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Thursday.
Rev. George-Bede Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Laura M. Calais.
Burial will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
William was born on October 8, 1963, in Breaux Bridge. Cherishing the simple pleasures of life, he found joy in reading books, completing crossword puzzles, listening to music and watching TV. Despite his disabilities, Willie actively contributed to his family by helping around the house, embodying the essence of selflessness and compassion. He was so friendly and loved to be around his loved ones. Willie will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his siblings, Ernest Calais, Armance Calais, Maeola Calais, Nelton Calais (Elizabeth), Clifton Calais, Alvin Calais, and Yola Hamilton (Percy); and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, D and Amydel Bossier Calais; brothers, Felton Calais and Dalton Calais; and sister-in-law, Geniveve Calais.
Pallbearers will be Elvis Calais, Ryan Calais, Robert Calais, Tucumsee Dugas, Ron Adams, and Jimmy Calais.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Calais and Jimmy Calais.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
