Bill Boyles, 72, of Mayflower passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2024. He was born William George Boyles, on July 26, 1951 to the late Sylvia (Burgess) Boyles and the late Warren Boyles of New Castle, Pennsylvania. Bill was also preceded in death by a brother, Alan Boyles.
Bill was a free spirit who enjoyed the Woodstock era with all of its loud music, painted vans and the comradery that accompanied that era of his life. He was a man of many talents including, painting, and wood working. He enjoyed countless hours grooming his five acres into a masterpiece, being a handyman for his daughters and building one of a kind furniture pieces.
Bill married his wife, Barbra Wetzler, in 1981 and together they enjoyed 43 years of marriage. He also took great pride in his daughters: Leigh Anna and Misty whom he loved beyond measure. He was Grandpa to Alyssa, Lindsey, and Spencer and Poppa to his great-grandchildren: Alayah, Hayden, and McKenzie. Bill is also survived by 3 brothers: Larry Boyles (Donna), Richard Boyles and Jimmy Boyles; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
A memorial visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Friday, July 26, 2024 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a charity that was especially dear to Bill’s heart.
