William Brenke Obituary
William Junior Brenke, age 93, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at his residence. He was born June 8, 1929, in Lansing, Michigan to the late William and Bertha Brenke.
Even at the age of 93, he remained active around the house and was still able to drive. Actually, William was still pulling weeds from his yard and his garden, and would often stay outside most of the day finding some task that needed completing. He enjoyed wood carving, and making furniture for his family. Before retirement, he worked in construction in South Walton County.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta; one son, Mike Brenke, and one daughter, Billie Niswander.
William is survived by one daughter, Theresa Calhoun; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Per his request, he will be cremated with no formal services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of DeFuniak Springs.
