William M. Brescia age 90 of Audubon, formerly of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025 at his residence. Born in Philadelphia on May 20, 1935 to the late William and Margaret (nee McGill) Brescia. Also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen (nee McNulty) and a sister, Margaret Dix. William served in the Army National Guard and was a Battalion Chief for the city of Philadelphia Fire Department.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Meghan) and Matthew T. (Carolyn); his sister, Lucy Duko; six beloved grandchildren—Thomas, Ryan, Shane, Caitlin, Allison, and Shannon; and his dear friend, Theresa Fodor.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 8:45 – 9:45 am Monday, October 20, 2025, followed by a Funeral Mass 10 am at St. Teresa of Avila, 1260 S. Trooper Road, Eagleville, Pa. 19403. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Pa.
In lieu of flowers contributions in William’s name may be made to The Anthonian Association: Anthonian Association of the USA
