William R. Brown

William Regan Brown of Limerick, Pennsylvania passed away on September 10, 2025 at the age of 66. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa, he was the son of Samuel James Brown Jr. and Marguerite T. (Tague) Brown. He was married to the late Shirley A. Brown for 20 years prior to her passing in 2021.
He attended the Norristown Area High School. He was subsequently selected for advanced technical training in the United States Army Reserve. He was assigned to Company A, 330th Engineer Battalion Army Reserve and rose to the level of Sargent. On June 9, 1981 he received a Letter of Commendation for his skill and professionalism within his unit. He was honorably discharged on June 24, 1992.
He worked for many years in the auto body field gaining much experience in the field and became an excellent auto painter. His hobbies extended to his love of classic automobiles and hot rods. He was determined to live his best life, persevering through being severely handicapped later in life. He had a propensity to paint everything red, white, and blue as he was a true patriot. He was a dog lover and usually had a canine companion, but one at a time. After his last dog passed, his love of animals transitioned into having a cat named moonlight. His sense of humor was continual and lasted until his final days. He loved his family, neighbors and friends, and we loved him.
William is survived by his brothers Samuel James Brown III, Thomas Kendal Brown, and Ronald Craig Brown. His cat Moonlight has been relocated to a wonderful, loving home. William's memorial service is upcoming; however, the date has not been determined at this time.
