William Paul "Bill" Bryan

William "Bill" Paul Bryan, a certified public accountant and life-long resident of Oakton, VA, died unexpectedly on July 29, 2025, at the age of 80. Bill passed away at his home, a place he loved dearly. Bill is survived by his wife, Maritza Bryan; his son, Erik; his Daughter-in-law, Beth; and his three cherished grandchildren, Jake, Kylie and Declan. Bill also leaves behind his sister Paula and her sons.

Bill was born on January 1, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Paul Edward Bryan and Margaret Sara Innes. He grew up with his sister in Norway and Alexandria, Virginia, and received his formal education at T.C. Williams High School. After graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served in the Corps of Engineers before being honorably discharged as a Captain. Bill completed his service with honor and courage, receiving a Purple Heart during his time in Vietnam. For a time that held many stories, Bill was moved and comforted by the "Welcome Home" speech given to the Vietnam soldiers by President Obama. Bill was a caring man who held a special place in his heart for his pets. For those who can relate to that bond, it speaks volumes about the size of Bill's heart. He loved - and was loved by - his loyal dogs, Shennie and Lucy.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Tuesday. August 5, 2025, at the Money & King Funeral Home 171 West Maple Avenue, Vienna, VA 22180. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:30 AM. The interment will be at 12 Noon at Fairfax Memorial Park with military honors.
