William "Bill" Buracker Jr.

Bill was a wonderful example of what a Christian man should be. He walked bravely through these last years of his earthly life with the help and support of his Lord and his wife and family. Bill, your race was well run!

I coached football with Bill at Luray High School from 1978-1985. We had some wonderful times together. He was one of the kindest and most honorable men I have ever known. He made the lives of countless young people better for their having known him.

I only know Bill from his Aunt Betty Housden. She kept me up-to-date of his progress. I am sorry I never met him as looking at his picture, I could tell he was an exceptional gentleman.
I know he will be missed by all.
My prayers go out to Kathy, and family.

Coach Buracker was my baseball and football coach at Luray High School. He helped many learn the value of teamwork, dedication and overcoming adversity not just in sport but in life. We shared some very special moments. He was a man of integrity and sincerity. God bless Coach.....
