William Busch Obituary
Bob was born on July 10, 1942, at the Auburn University infirmary. His remarkable career began as an Apollo astronaut instructor at Cape Kennedy, Florida, where he contributed to the nation's space program. In 1972, he settled in Fredericksburg and went on to dedicate 32 years of service at NSWC, Dahlgren.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jackie S. Busch; daughter, Sarah Sullivan (Hugh); son, Paul R. Busch; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Will Sullivan; and sister-in-law, Sarah Pelfrey of North Carolina.
No funeral or viewing. A celebration party will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ferry Farm Baptist Church Building Fund (1 Westmoreland Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22405).
