William Michael Cannell, Sr.

May 18, 1957 – September 24, 2025

William "Bill" Michael Cannell, Sr., 68, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, surrounded by his family after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Brookline, Bill later settled in Lynn, where he and his former wife raised their two children. In his later years, he made his home in Norwood, close to his beloved brothers and sisters.

Bill is survived by his son, William Cannell, Jr. and his wife Marishka of North Reading, and his daughter, Christine O'Meara and her husband Bill of Hampstead, NH. He was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Brinn, Hailey, Aria, and Ophelia.

He also leaves behind his siblings, Nick Cannell of Norwood, Betty Sanford of Walpole, Margaret Cannell of North Carolina, and Mary Francis Perry of Quincy and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will cherish his memory.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Peter Cannell, and his brothers, Peter Cannell and Mark Cannell and his longtime companion Tammy Bernier.

Known for his love of camping, the lottery, and his playful sense of humor, Bill will be remembered most for the laughter he shared and the goofball spirit that made him unforgettable.

Services will be private.
