I will always have fond memories of Mr Carrier. I had him for World Geography and he was one of our Key Club sponsors at Glen Oaks Senior High School. I graduated in 1968. He was as fine a man as they come. I never realized he did as much as he did until I read his obituary. His accomplishments were amazing, to say the least.
On this anniversary of his passing
I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill Carrier was a classmate of mine at LSU in the 1960's. We were both attending LSU on the Korean G.I. Bill of Rights, both majoring in secondary education, and both ended up teaching in East Baton Rouge Parish Public schools. Later we would both become principals, Bill at Tara High School, and I at Baton Rouge High School. Bill was a fine man and one of the kindest individuals I have ever known. He was also a gifted teacher who had the ability to make history come alive for his students.

Thanks for the memories of teaching my two sons, Ray and Randy Richardson. We moved to Baton Rouge in 1968 from Oklahoma. Both sons attended Glen Oaks High School. Randy was in the Key Club which Bill sponsored.
Several times Bill worked on my various clocks. He gave each clock special attention like they were priceless antiques! In fact he told me one was an antique! We had purchased it in a yard sale in Ponca City, OK.

Charlotte, Stephanie, Megan, husbands and grandchildren, you have wonderful memories to treasure!

Bill and my husband, Bob Meador, were truly close friends. They served in administrative positions in several schools, especially Lee Hi. Bill taught Bob to work on clocks and that became the highlight of Bob's life. He made each of our six children clocks, plus more for others. Charlotte, Bill, Bob and myself shared many good years, as well, our children were friends too. What a great educator Bill was, he will be missed.

I had Mr Carrier as a World Geography teacher and a Key Club sponsor at Glen Oaks H S from 1964-1968. He was a great teacher and a very good man...always with that jovial smile

We have passed many good times with Charlotte and Bill from wearing his shoes at a world fair in Nashville to opening a bottle of scotch with store lock in Las Vegas. Such a wonderful friend with such a lovely family. Rest in peace.
