William Ralph Carter

William Ralph Carter was born on May 10, 1937 in Waverly, Tennessee to Loys and Stella Carter. William, who resided in Melvindale, Michigan, passed away on October 27, 2025 at the age of 88. On February 6, 1956, William married Peggy Madden and they were married until she passed away in 1997. Loving father of Latrina (Reginald) Hodges, Elizabeth (Timothy) Rehahn, Brandi Carter, and the late Kevin Carter. Dearest grandfather of Dominique, Daryus, and Dana. Loving great-grandfather of Darius, Devin, and Dahmir. William is also survived by his brother Ronnie of Waverly, TN and many loving nieces and nephews that cherished their Uncle Ralph. William was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Frankie Eugene and Tommie. William will be deeply missed by many other loving family and friends.
Visitation Friday, October 31, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Allen Park Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 5900 Allen Rd. (313) 928-2300. Funeral service Saturday 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment Mt. Hope Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or the charity of your choice.
