William Casperson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Trahan Family Funeral Home - Pensacola on Feb. 5, 2026.
"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26.

William Casperson was valuable to all he met. He entered this world with the spirit of a dove on November 10, 2007. William was gentle, loving, and kind. These traits came naturally to William. He had the spirit of a child. The Lord called his dove back to him on January 30, 2026.

He deeply loved animals – especially birds – and enjoyed nature. This trait was nurtured and flourished under the guidance of a man placed in William's path. He was loyal and kind to his friends and to those around him. He was kind to animals. Birds saw his gentleness of spirit and would land in his hand. This trait was nurtured by his family. The traits God gave William were molded by those around him into the dove we knew. But those traits were always his. To those around him, he brought happiness and joy and shared his love of nature with everyone.

He is survived by his mother, Katie Casperson, and by the spirit of gentleness that was imbued within him. When we see a dove, may we all reflect on his gentleness of spirit as a reminder of how valuable we all are in the eyes of God.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 3:00pm at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 60 Industrial Blvd, Pensacola, FL. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family ask to donate to "Hope above Fear" organization in Pensacola, FL.
