William S. Chiplock Jr.

Chiplock, William S. Jr. LATHAM William S. Chiplock Jr., 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 2, 2021, with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late William and Catherine Chiplock. William was the devoted husband to Julia G. Chiplock; they were married for 41 years. After graduating from high school, William joined the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge, William worked for New York State until his retirement. William enjoyed spending time with his entire family. He was an avid bowler and golfer. William enjoyed spending his free time watching old western shows on Decades. He was a big fan of listening to music by Jimmy Buffet and the Eagles. William had a passion for war history. He loved spending time on the beach during his brief residence in Florida. In addition to his wife, William is survived by his children, Nicole (Casey Smolke) Chiplock, Tonya (Neil) Manning, Billy (Stefanie) Chiplock and Brian Neddo; grandchildren, Brittany Neddo, Nicholas Manning, Livia Manning, Gabriella Manning, Liliana Smolke, William S. Chiplock IV and Evelyn Smolke; sister, Dannelle (the late Richard) Naparty; nieces, Kristen Lafarr and Lesli Maffia; and many friends. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet on Tuesday, September 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. with a service to follow at 6 p.m. Inurnment will take place in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville on Monday, September 13, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in William's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
