William "Bill" Chudyk

William Stephen Chudyk passed away on March 5, 2026 at the age of 79 after a long illness. He as born on March 21, 1946 in Orlando, Florida, and grew up in a military family that moved frequently. He was a Vietnam veteran, after which he worked for the U.S. post office as a postal machine maintenance instructor in Norman, OK. Bill enjoyed collecting stamps, playing bridge, reading, watching Turner Classic movies, eating good food, and listening to classical music. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen A. Chudyk, mother Helene Chudyk, and sister Patricia Paschall Peterson and is survived by his brother Stephen M. (Eva) Chudyk, sister Martha (Frank) Buchiere, nieces Jennifer (Mike) Ortolaza, Ellen Chudyk, and Anna (Robbie) Dainard, along with great nieces Elizabeth Ortolaza, Maria Ortolaza, Savannah Dainard, Corina Dainard, and Chloe Dainard, as well as many friends at Rivermont Independent Living Community and in the Norman community as well. Bill will be greatly missed by all.
