Frilot Cove- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for William “Bill” Joseph Clay, Sr. 85, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Frilot Cove with Fr. Taj Glodd officiating. Visitation will be held in the St. Anne Catholic Church from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anne Catholic Church.
Bill, a resident of Frilot Cove, entered into eternal rest on June 10, 2023, in Opelousas General Health System. Mr. Clay was a Veteran having served in the United States Army.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gloria G. Clay of Frilot Cove; son, William J. Clay, Jr. and his wife, Rachael, of San Diego, California; brothers, Henry Clay and his wife, Theresa of Bergen, New York; Raymond Clay of Albion, New York; and John Clay and his wife, Sandra of New Iberia, La.; grandchildren, Kyle, Meagan and Hannah Clay; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Euphieme Clay, sister, Rose Mae Johnson.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Mr. Clay to St. Jude’s’s Children Hospital.
Words of Comfort for the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
