William Cody Obituary
ALBANY - William J. Cody, 78, passed away peacefully at home on, Thursday, May 1, 2025. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late William and Anna Mae Cody. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Noreen M. Cody; and his stepfather, Joe Condor.
Bill was a Vietnam war veteran, serving in the United States Navy before his honorable discharge. He worked in the warehousing department for Price Chopper for over 30 years before his retirement. "Pops" enjoyed his time at his camp, golfing, cornhole and spending time with family, friends and his dogs, Moose and Dozer.
Bill is survived by his children, Lisa Cody, William Cody Jr., Susan Watson (Owen) and Michael Cody (Mary). He will also be missed by siblings, Sheila Moffett (Steve), Luva Horton (the late Dennis) and Debbie Rougas (John); and his sister-in-law, Debbie Searles (the late Dennis). He was the loving grandfather to Bryanna McClement and Erika and TJ Tirino. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 7, from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, N.Y. 12205. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home, with interment and military honors being held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
