Born March 22, 1945, in Ocilla, GA son of the late Lloyd Richard Guest and Wilma Harper Guest.
Butch was a graduate of Lavonia High School. He retired as a 1st Sgt. After 24 years of service in the US Army. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Ranger and Special Forces. He served 2 tours in Vietnam as a Marine. He was of the Baptist faith.
Butch is survived by a son Stephen Guest (Misty) and a grand daughter Gavin Guest of Nicholson; sisters: Sandra Vickery of Hartwell, Cynthia Borum of Lavonia; brother: Lloyd Sonny Guest (Janice) of Martin; nephews, nieces and other family members.
Butch loved his grand daughter more than anything, he was an avid fisherman, golfer, and GA Bulldog fan.
Butch was preceded in death by his nephew: Anthony Guest.
His request was to be cremated and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
