William “Tom” Thomas Covington, passed away peacefully on December 27th, 2025, at his residence.
Tom was born to William and Miriam Covington in Clarke County on February 5th, 1955. Tom was a hard worker and grew up enjoying hunting and fishing. He would hunt for anything as well as fish for anything.
One thing he enjoyed the most during his long life was joining the Air National Guard for over 40 years where he was a Master Sergeant. The one person he loved more than serving his country was his loving wife and soulmate of 40 years, Kay Covington.
Kay and Tom enjoyed doing everything as long as they were together. He loved and cared for both his wife and son, Chris.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, William Roper Covington and Miriam Covington.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Kay Covington; his son, Chris Davidson of Meridian; Brother Frank Covington (Vonnie); and sister Carolyn Hicks of Quitman.
The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-Downtown is grateful for the opportunity to honor Tom’s life and memory and to serve his loving family during this time.
