William Guy Cox, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on December 19, 1927, William touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeff (Michelle) Cox and William O. Cox; his daughter, Laura J. (David) Wiley; and twelve cherished grandchildren: William J. Cox, Daniel J. Cox, Hannah E. Cox, Jennifer (Lee) Schnelting, Brittney Cox, Kayla Matthews, Kaitlyn Cox, Jeffrey (Mary) Cox, Danielle Calcara, Katherine Helm, Ryan Wiley, and Alexandra Wiley. He is also survived by his six great-grandchildren. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of other family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
William was preceded in death by his father, William H. Cox, and his mother, Jessie L. Cox. His legacy will live on through the countless memories shared with his loved ones.
An avid woodworker, he found great joy and satisfaction in his craft. His passion for automobiles led him to enjoy attending car shows, particularly showcasing his pride and joy, a '64 Galaxie. Yet, it was his family that brought him the greatest happiness. He treasured every moment spent with them during family events, fostering bonds that will resonate for generations. William Served in the United States Navy twice. He was a proud WWII and Korean War Veteran.
Visitation will be held on July 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. A Funeral Service will take place the following day, July 2, 2025, at 10:30 AM, also at Newcomer Funeral Home. Immediately following the service, there will be a graveside service beginning at 12:00 PM at St. Charles Memorial Gardens Cemetery, where friends and family can come together to celebrate William's life and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him.
William Guy Cox will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
