William Anthony “ Bill” Dabruzzi, age 86 of Hudson, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Born on January 29, 1939 in Hudson, Bill was a lifelong entrepreneur, community figure and proud family man. He was best known as the owner and operator of several local businesses, including Sam’s Restaurant & Bowling Alley, Dabruzzi Masonry, and Village Liquor in North Hudson, where he and his wife, Yvonne, built a kitchen that was known for great homemade Italian food, including the famous Dabruzzi Ravs. Later he was office manager at Dick’s Bar & Hammond Hotel. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Yvonne. Highlights of their travel were Italy and Greece. In his spare time Bill enjoyed putting puzzles together, and put together over 100, just never the same puzzle twice. He was a proud member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
He is survived by his children Michelle (Jim) Boumeester, David (Julie), and Tony Dabruzzi; grandchildren Ryan (Erika) Hansen, Kyle (Katirena) Hansen, and Joe Dabruzzi; great-grandchildren Harper, Addy & Ada.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Yvonne, his brother Robert “Bob” Dabruzzi, sister Janice Kinney; and his parents Joe & Ann.
Memorial Gathering 1-3 PM Saturday January 31, 2026 at O’Connell Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St. Hudson. Private burial St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Hudson at a later date .
