William "Tommy" Daniel

William Thomas Daniel, 81, of Sherwood, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be held 12:00pm – 12:30pm with services by Brother Paul Holderfield at 12:30pm, Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home and burial at 2:00 PM at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Pallbearers: Jerry Gardner, Jimmy Jennings, Jacob Pearce, Morgan Colvert, Mike Verkler, Kolton Daniel

Tommy was born September 11, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents William N. and Annie Burks Daniel, along with his beloved Aunt Loretta Weigel.

Tommy was a graduate of North Little Rock High School and later attended college before being drafted. For his service in Korea during the Vietnam war, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Marksman’s Badge. He continued to serve in the military until his retirement.

Tommy met the love of his life Barbara and they married in 1967. They had 57 beautiful years of marriage. He is survived by his wife Barbara; a son, Michael, wife Kellie; grandchildren Alex and Kolton Daniel; a daughter Lisa Daniel Snow and granddaughter Michala Snow.

Tommy worked for the highway department for 35 years; and retired as an inspector.

He enjoyed nature, was an avid hunter, and fisherman. He also was an accomplished runner, competing in the Pikes Peak marathon and the White Rock marathon and enjoyed long competitive runs. He was a man of many talents and will be missed greatly.
