William Edgar "Pete" Daniels

Daniels, William Edgar "Pete" age 83, A strong man of God and one of the kindest souls you could ever meet, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center On Friday, October 17, 2025 surrounded by love and peace.
Anyone who ever met Pete knew that every conversation would somehow lead to Jesus. Whether it was a friend, a stranger, or a family member, he never missed a chance to ask, "Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?" Sharing the gospel was his greatest calling, and his deepest desire was for everyone to come to know the love and salvation found in Christ.
He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife of 45 years, and his precious daughter. Though our hearts ache at his passing, we rejoice knowing that he is home with his Savior - whole, healed, and free.
Pete lived his life guided by God's Word.
Pete's faith was unshakable, his kindness unmatched, and his heart always turned toward Heaven. He truly lived to serve God and others, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith that will never fade.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Jean Biggs Daniels; wife of 14 years, Vera Etta Bohanan Daniels; daughter, Angie Troutman; parents, Roy Frank and Mary Lou Daniels; brother, C.J. Daniels; sister, Aileen Smith; sisters-in-law, Sue (Gary) Miller and Carolyn Rogers; brother-in-law, Arthur Biggs; and stepson, John Bohanan.
He is survived by his daughter, Marianne Dockery (John West); sons, Billy Daniels and Tim (Jan) Daniels; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Kayla Armstrong) Daniels, Callie (Steven) Willis, Caci (Ryan) Starkey, Sara (Josh) O'Connor, Courtney (Jurgens) Daniels, Taylor Daniels; great-grandchildren, Jayden McMillian, Solomon Daniels, Stevie Ray, Adlee and Jameson Willis, Keigan Tetro, Marshall, Kameron, Dallen, Clara, William and Julian Starkey, Raylie Jayne, Mika, and Sawyer O'Connor; brothers-in-law, Eddie (Pat) Biggs, Jimmy (Gail) Biggs; stepdaughter, Vanessa (Lee) Wells; step-grandchildren, Josh (Kari) Rogers, Spencer (Sara) Wells, Andrew (Melissa) Bohanan, Robert (Amber) Bohanan, and Bridgette (Anthony) Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
In true Pete fashion, he would want his final message to be simple but powerful - Do you know Jesus? If not, he'd want you to.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever shall believeth in him shall not perish but have ever lasting live" John 3:16
The family will receive friends Monday, October 20, 2025, at Bridges Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Way of the Cross Baptist Church, 2932 Whittle Springs Road, Knoxville, TN 37917 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:30 PM. Family and friends will go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 3:00 PM Graveside Service.
