William (Bill) Frederick Darrah, 68, of
Westville, IN crossed over on Tuesday January 27, 2026 at his home. Bill was born on November 11, 1957 in Michigan City to Leonard and Marjorie (Stout) Darrah who both precede him in death. In the summer of 1980 Bill met his wife to be Terry Moos, and on August 28, 1982 he married Terry Moos who survives.
Also surviving Bill are Children; Son Rick (wife Christianna), Daughter Jeannie (husband Mike), Son Billy (wife Mary), adopted Daughter Lizzy, adopted Son Rob Akinczyk, adopted Son Shawn Vera (wife Angie), and adopted Son Mike Haley.
Siblings; Brother Rick Darrah and Sister Penny Darrah Coates.
Grandchildren; Jacob (wife Marin), Joshua, Nathaniel (wife Alexia), Daniel, Brittney, Harmonie, and Rae.
Nephews; Leo (wife Jamie), Troy (wife Camie), and Jason. Neice; Jennifer (husband Jon).
Great-Grandchildren; Chance, Mila, Marley, Kanen, and Lil Drake.
Grand-Nephew; Jameson
Grand-Nieces; Elizabeth and Isabel.
Best Friends: Dick Pie, Mari and Rich Kozlowski
Preceding Bill in death are Parents; Leonard and Marjorie (Stout) Darrah. Siblings; Sister Margene, Sister-in-law Cora Darrah, Brother-in-law Johnny Moos, Brother-in-law Bobby Moos, Brother-in-law Dennis Coates, and all loving Aunts and Uncles.
Bill is known by many for his kind heart, compassion and love of; nature, family, music, people, plants and animals great and small. Anyone who has met Bill can attest to his ability to make one feel instantly at ease and truly heard and understood. With his kind words, sharp wit, unique humor, and deep wisdom, Bill's presence made every person and place he visited all the better for it.
Bill's love of travel and music took him to many concerts all over the country both in his adolescent years and in later years with his loving wife Terry and Son Billy. Bill and his family were also blessed to be able to travel together doing Amway, Shipshewana on the Road, and many family trips all around the country.
As a craftsman, Bill created Darrah Landscaping working with his family in landscaping and home improvement for 39 years and was a 1976 graduate of Westville High School. Bill shared deeply in the Catholic faith and was a member of The Knights of Columbus and Opus Dei. Bill also belonged to Moose Lodge 1623 in Chesterton, IN and was an Amway representative for many years.
Those who are blessed to have met Bill hold a piece of him in their hearts; and through the hearts of his loved ones, his stories, and the beauty he brought to this world, he truly continues making the world a better place.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday February 3, 2026 from 10-11:00 AM at Newhard Funeral Home in
Westville, IN. A prayer and eulogy service will immediately follow. Memorial donations may be made in Bills memory to the
American Cancer Society.
