William Henry “Bill” Davis, age 86, of West Chicago, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 one day after his 86th birthday. Bill was surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on March 2, 1939 to Jearl Bailey and Katie Josephine “Mart” Davis. On May 13, 1958, Bill married the love of his life Betty Ward. He owned and operated Bill Davis Heating and Air for many years. Bill enjoyed fishing, drawing and oil painting. He loved all animals and it wasn’t unusual to find him helping one in need. More than anything Bill was a family man. He loved his wife Betty beyond measure. They were blessed with a lifetime of love and happiness that will last an eternity.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Ward and 3 children, who he was so proud of: Jeff (Lisa) Davis, Tammy (Bret) Bohnstedt and Tracy (Wayne) Morgan; six grandchildren, who he thought hung the moon, Eric (Laura), Nicole (Brad), Dustin (Shedara), Travis (Lynsey), Katie (Corey) and Haley (Josh); nineteen great-grandchildren; and many friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wayne and John (Jack).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago. A service will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Sue Ebersold officiating. Interment Private.
