William Dawson Obituary

William Victor Dawson

William Victor Dawson, 72, of Arlington, passed away at his residence Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was born in Kenton, April 29, 1953, to the late Martha (Riggs) Hodge. He was married to Deborah Brown, but later divorced and remained friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Shari Dawson of Arlington; four grandchildren, Seth (Taylor Guthrie) Ramirez, Emily (Filip) Lillard, Isaih (Aja Tate) Dawson, and Oceanna Hohman; many great-grandchildren; his brother, John Hodge of Chicago, Illinois, and a sister, Sandra (Gary) Buerger of Kenton.

Preceding him in death was his son, Tommy Dawson; a brother, Dale Dawson; and a sister, Barbara Snider.

William drove trucks for ADS in Findlay for over 30 years, retiring in 2015. He enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and NASCAR. Most of all, he enjoyed time with his family.

Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Harry Launder officiating. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contribu-tions may be directed to the family.
