William James DeShano, loving husband, Father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother passed away Saturday October 19, 2024 at his home after a lingering illness at age 86.
William was born September 1, 1938 in Bay City, Michigan. William was the second of four children born to the late Lawrence and Francis (Filcek) DeShano. William and Margaret (Pero) were married on June 1, 1957 at Sacred Heart Church in Kawkawlin, and have been married 66 years.
Surviving William are his wife Margaret, his children William Jr. (Janette) DeShano, Lisa (Eric) Francis, Ronald (Barb) DeShano, Julie (Paul) Rechsteiner and daughter-in-law Dana Raymond-Rambo; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. A Brother Kenneth and sisters-in-law Barbara, Berneda and Darlene DeShano.
William was preceded in death by his son Mark, his parents, brothers Richard and Melvin DeShano, and several brother and sister in laws.
Funeral mass will be on Tuesday October 29, 2024 at 11am at Prince of Peace-Sacred Heart Campus with Rev. Fr. Prentice Tipton presiding with Military Honors to follow at church. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 am till time of service at the church.
