NORFOLK – William J. Dillabough, 93, peacefully passed away early Tuesday morning, October 21, 2025 at his home on Wallace Road.
Bill was born November 1, 1931 in Massena, the son of the late William Nelson and Mary (Adams) Dillabough. He attended schools in Massena. He entered the United States Army on January 4, 1949 serving his honorable discharge on February 4, 1952. He received the Purple Heart Award for injuries he sustained while serving.
He was a self-employed construction worker, owning and operating a roofing company in Florida for several years. He was a member the Massena American Legion, VFW and AMVETS and enjoyed golfing, race horses, and playing pull tabs.
Bill is survived by his children, Fred (Sherry) Dillabough and Michele (Mark) Cesar; his grandchildren, Alex and Cheyenne Dillabough, Lori (Eric) Fischlein, Amy (Rob) Saltarella, and Danny Cesar; and a step granddaughter, Danielle (Justus) Cross.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, however there are no services at this time. Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Brasher at the convenience of the family.
