William Donaghy Obituary
Born on January 27, 1941, in Fresno, California, Bill devoted his life to learning and teaching. As a longtime professor at the University of Wyoming, he inspired generations of students over a career spanning more than 25 years. During his tenure, he taught more than 7,000 students, leaving a lasting legacy through his passion for education and commitment to his field.
Bill is survived by his children: William Scott Donaghy (Tracy), John Brian Donaghy (Tiffany), and Kathleen Marie Donaghy; by his cherished grandsons: Niel, Jake, and Dillon; and great-grandson: Julian. His memory lives on in the lives he touched-as a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, and friend.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Altitude Chophouse and Brewery in Laramie, Thursday, June 19, from 4 pm until 7 pm. The family suggests donations be made in his honor to a scholarship fund or educational charity of your choice.
Bill's life was one of quiet dedication, thoughtful guidance, and enduring love. He will be deeply missed. He was a kind man, a great father and grandparent, and a friend to all who knew him.
