William Ray "Bill" Dunlap

William "Bill" Ray Dunlap, 87, husband of Shelba Campbell Dunlap of Belton died Monday January 19, 2026, at his daughters' home.

He was born in Anderson County and was the son of the late Thomas Ray and Elise Brown Dunlap. He was a member at Second Baptist Church of Belton. He was an Army veteran and retired from Colonial Pipeline.

He is survived by wife of the home; daughters Melissa "Missy" (Mike) McEntyre of Belton and Aron Hawkins of Honea Path; a sister Carolyn (Roy Mac) Haggard of Belton; sister-in-law Rachel Dunlap Freeman of Williamston; grandchildren Justin (Alex) Ashley of Belton, Ryan (Tabitha) Ashley of Honea Path, Christian (Jolie) Ashley of Iva, Noah and Isaac Hawkins of Honea Path; great grandchildren Campbell, Alivia and Laken Ashley of Belton and Gavin Lay of Honea Path; step-grandchildren Haylee (Deven) Chastine of Ninety-Six, Kelsey (Thomas) Cartledge of Seneca, and Hunter (Annabelle) Crawford of Greenwood; step-great grandchild Barrett Chastine of Ninety-Six.

He was preceded by a son William Keith Dunlap, brother Jerry Dunlap and sister Linda Wood and brother-in-law Arthur Wood.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday January 22, 2026, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwright Green officiating. Burial will be following service at Forrest Lawn.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 12:45PM until 1:45PM at Cox Funeral Home.

Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made to Agape Hospice.

The family will be at the home of Justin Ashley.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Ashley Trotter, Angel Jamison and Ashanti Lewis with Agape Hospice.
