William Alexander Dwyer, age 80, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. “Bill” as he was known to his family and friends graduated from El Paso High School in 1959. He was an EPHS Tiger at heart and always told fascinating stories of his football days. Bill received his Economics degree from Southern Methodist University in 1963 and continued his schooling, receiving his Accounting Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. Bill had his own practice as a Certified Public Accountant for many years. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; Samuel Joseph Dwyer Sr. and Irene Robledo. He is survived by his loving daughters; Claudia Patricia Dwyer (Jose Berumen), Jacqueline Yvonne Porras (Gabriel), Linda Lorraine Licano (Robert) and Carmen Adriana Dwyer (Mike Romero); his brother; Edward Joseph Dwyer; his dearest grandchildren; Claudia Kubata, Cynthia Quinones, Gabriela Porras, Paulina Porras, Eric Romero and Adam Romero; and his loving great grandchildren; Bella Quinones, Micah Ruiz, Leonardo Kubata and Vincent Kubata. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home- West. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 1:00 pm at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa El Paso, Texas 79902. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers-Mike Romero, Eric Romero, Adam Romero, Jose Berumen, Gabriel Porras, Robert Licano, Claudia Kubata and Cynthia Quinones. Those who cannot attend in person may join the funeral and memorial services virtually on Face book Live at https://www.facebook.com/sunsetfuneralhome (no account is needed). Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
