William Lee Eckstein, Jr. passed away unexpectedly but quietly at his home in Towson, MD on September 17, 2025. He is preceded by his loving father, William Lee Eckstein, Sr., mother, Carolyn Ruth Eckstein (nee Simmont), and Juanita Howard, the woman that raised him and his sisters. Bill is survived by his younger siblings Karla Eckstein Armstrong (husband Mark) and Minda Lee Eckstein. He was "Uncle Bim" to his two nephews, Aaron McLeod Armstrong (wife Amber) and Benjamin David Armstrong (wife Leah and daughter Phoebe). He also leaves behind many cousins and friends.

Bill graduated from Loch Raven Senior High and managed several McDonald's franchises in the Baltimore area. He held various positions at Jiffy Lube for the last 40 years, most recently at Annapolis. Bill enjoyed classical music, walking, driving, and was an avid sports fan. He attended Orioles games at Memorial Stadium and Camden Yards and was an active supporter of the Baseball Hall of Fame. He had occasion to "rub elbows" with celebrities from sports, entertainment, and politics, but it was family and friends that he valued most. He lived frugally but was generous to others, known for a mind like a steel trap and a heart of gold. Bill will be greatly missed and remembered as a dependable employee, a caring brother and uncle, and a loyal friend.

The family will receive friends at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10-12pm, with the funeral service at noon. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, consider a contribution to the charity of your choice in Bill's name.
