William Edward "Eddie" Church, 82, of Ellenboro, NC passed away at the VA Medical Center of Asheville on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Eddie was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on September 01, 1941 to the late William Enoch Church and the late Margaret Myrtle Cash Church.
Eddie was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Ellenboro, North Carolina. He served his country proudly in the US Marine Corps and was a faithful member of the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Eddie served as a mission pastor at three different churches in West Virginia. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and everyone who knew him.
Preceding him in death, including his parents are his son, William "Billy" Church; a brother and four sisters.
Surviving Eddie are his wife of sixty three years, Irene Hall Church; his children, Teresa Church Hartley (Scott), Mark Church (Kathy) and Regina Ramsey; seven grandchildren, Anthony Ramsey (Alana), Mackenzie Parsons (Lee), Tara Church, Holly Newton (Jonathan), John Church, Karen Holloway (William) and Hailey Sexton; nine great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
A funeral service will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm. Burial will take place following the service at Drucilla Independent Church Cemetery.
