William Sidney Edwards

William Sidney Edwards, 66, of Boonville, Missouri, passed away on November 11, 2025. Born on December 16, 1958, William spent his life in Missouri surrounded by family, hard work, and the things he loved.
William grew up fishing and spending time outdoors, developing a lifelong love for the water and an early passion for cars. As a young boy, he treasured the days spent farming with his grandfather and riding alongside his pony "Coco," memories that remained bright throughout his life. He later worked for more than five years with Columbia Parks and Recreation, where he enjoyed staying active and lending a helping hand in the community.
He is survived by his children, William Sidney Edwards Jr., Spencer Atrell Edwards, Tatina Bennett, Shonna Shakia Edwards (Leon Wallace), and Shayla Edwards. William also leaves behind his grandchildren, Keondra Hunt, Lakejon Wallace, Keonjahnay Wallace, Lakedreonna Wallace, Keajon Wallace, Laniah Wallace, and Tyrah Knedler, as well as his siblings, Robert Edwards Sr., James Tyrone Edwards, Derrell Harris, Mychal Edwards Sr., James Simmons, and Vanessa Harris, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him deeply.
William was preceded in death by Mary E. Cross, George R. Cross, George Jessie Edwards, Donald Harris, Tawanda Edwards, and Tracy L. Edwards.
A service honoring his life will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a repast to follow. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a man whose spirit, humor, and heart will be deeply missed. "Beat 'em up!"
