Bill Eichholtz, 86, of Charlotte, passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022.
Bill was a native of Bellefontaine, Ohio. Bill attended Miami University where he met the love of his life Barbara Bender. After serving in the Army in Germany for two years Bill and Barbara were married October 22, 1960. They spent time in Houston and then moved to Knoxville in 1969 raising their family in East Tennessee. Bill and Barbara moved to Charlotte and Bill devoted his life ministering to the River Church Community. Bill's hobbies have always been his children and his family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Rush and Jean Eichholtz.
Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara, their children; Bill Eichholtz (Keli) of Knoxville, Susan Rennie (Gary) of Fisherville, KY, Rob Eichholtz (Sandy) of Knoxville, Beth Elliott (Chad) of Knoxville, Sarah Turner (Derek) of Charlotte, Stephen Eichholtz (April) of Knoxville, grandchildren Cory Eichholtz (Elizabeth), Tyler Eichholtz (Rachel), Drew Eichholtz (Rachel), Anna Nayyir (Qaaim), Emily Rennie, Caroline Turner, Kate Turner, Elise Eichholtz, Esther Eichholtz; great grandchildren Emma Eichholtz, Will Eichholtz, and Eliza Eichholtz; brother Bud Eichholtz (Mona) of Bellefontaine and many loving cousin, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday February 26, 2022 at River Church Charlotte 17615 Old Statesville Road Cornelius NC 28031. The Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at River Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bill's home church online at www.RiverCharlotte.com or sent to River Church, Suite 200-228, 13016 Eastfield Rd. Huntersville, NC 28078.
