Mr. William Floyd Fair, Sr. answered the call of the master on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Dominic Medical Center, Jackson, MS with his wife by his side.

Floyd was born on March 30, 1951, in Weir, MS to Luther and Cora Fair (who both proceeded him in death. He gave his life to Christ at an early age at Millspring M.B. Church. He later joined Fancher Hill M.B. Church, where he remained faithful until his transition. He received his education through the Choctaw School System.

On February 26, 1972 he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mae Linda Hemphill. This union was blessed with five children.

He was a very hard worker. After retiring from Packing Corporation of America (PCA), Ackerman he continued to help others.

Floyd was proceeded in death by two brothers, Larry & Luther Fair, three sisters, Wardeen Jones, Sherry Fair & Gloria McNutt.

He leaves to celebrate his homegoing a loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Mae Linda Fair; four daughters: Tabitha Arterberry (Terry), Cynthia Anderson (David), Cora Ann Thomas (Shannon), Lakeisha Fair (Gary); one son, William Floyd Jr. (LaMarion); two God children: Dennis Talley, Jr. and Carolyn Thurman; four sisters: Bernice Cousins, Patti Dotson, Helen Fair and Annie Harden; three sisters-in-law, Francis Hill (Jeffrey), Katharine Turner (Horace), Frances Hemphill; one brother-in-law, Albert Hemphill, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

My Change of Address:

Please be advised that I have moved. I received the other day from God letting me know that my new home was completed. I knew my mansion needed some finishing touches and that Jesus Christ had to inspect it and give the final approval. On that day He let me know my mansion was ready and I could move in. He told me to go ahead and change my address. Well, my new home is glorious and with a sight to behold. It is located on an exclusive estate, being beautiful yearly gate of course. You know the streets are paved with gold and every day is Sunday just like you have been told. Trees grace my garden here and then walk and talk with God without worry or care. there is peace here, joy, happiness and no pain or headache, no strife or discomfort, only sweet serenity. My heavenly Father is here in all His glory; and oh yes, I have my own designer who has fitted me with my very own white robe and wings, I could just go on but instead, I'll pray that you move here one day. Floyd was one of our favorite cousins in Weir. Whenever we visited,he would always keep us laughing! It was a blessing to see him in June.He will be missed!
