Obituary published on Legacy.com by Patrick T Lanigan Funeral Home - East Pittsburgh on Feb. 5, 2026.
William "Bill" Fedor of West Mifflin, a cherished centenarian, passed away peacefully at Juniper Village at Forest Hills on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at age 104.

Born the son of the late Michael and Anna (Katus) Fedor on October 9, 1921 in Braddock, PA.

Bill was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by his six siblings: Michael Fedor Jr., Mary Fedor Damon, Edward J. Fedor, Irene V. Fedor, Anna Agnes Fedor Ivory and Infant Annie Fedor.

Beloved Uncle to Robert Damon(Leslie) of Florida, Patricia Damon-Johnson (Robert Small) of Virginia, Michael Ivory (Margaret)of Aspinwall, David Ivory (RuthAnn) of Turtle Creek and Ann Hersh (Ronald) of Bethlehem Township, PA.

Bill is also survived by great-nieces: Brett Elizabeth Johnson, Lilith Christiansen, Robyn Small-Hoyle, Emelia Ivory and Evelyn Hersh as well as great-nephews: Robert "Colby" Damon, Ronald 'Terry" Hersh , Ethan Ivory, Liam Ivory, Leo Ivory and Samual Ivory.

Bill graduated in the top of his class with academic honors from Braddock High School in 1939 with a perfect attendance record. He attended Westinghouse Technical Institute and studied Mechanical Engineering until he was drafted in 1942 to serve in WWII.

William served in The 8th United States Army Air Force (USAAF) from 1942-1945. As a Staff Sergeant, his military specialties included radar bombardment, radar mechanic, and was a member of a B-24 Liberator flight crew. As a decorated veteran, he was in numerous North African and European battles including the Air Offensive, Europe campaign.

After his military service, Bill returned to his home in Braddock, PA to help his older brother, Mike, continue the successful legacy of their family business, Fedor's Meat Market. After more than three decades as both a skilled meat cutter and operations manager, Bill closed the business in 1978. He continued to work independently as a meat specialist and consultant for The William Penn Hotel and then finished his career at the Liberty Market in Turtle Creek, PA. He retired in 1988 with over 45 years of experience in the meat cutting specialty business.

Bill dedicated his life to his family and church. He was proud of his Slovak heritage and was a lifelong member and volunteer at Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Braddock. Bill found joy in traveling and was a connoisseur of fine dining with the perfect ambiance over a glass of red wine. He lived for memorable trips with his three sisters, especially to the casinos in Las Vegas. Bill was a devoted music lover and was always ready "to put on his dancing shoes". As a car buff, he loved focusing on mechanics, design and performance on all types of cars. He was an avid reader with a sharp mind and a crossword enthusiast who always looked forward to the challenge of conquering the Sunday New York Times puzzle in ink.
