Bill Ferguson, (William Marvin III) – Loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 11th, 2024.
Bill was born in Fort Worth, TX in 1949 to Bill (William Marvin II) and Iva Ferguson. He brought much laughter and joy to the people around him. He graduated from Haltom High School in Haltom City, TX in 1967. He was the Trainee Soldier of the Cycle in the Army National Guard.
Bill was one of the founders of National Benefit Pans, Inc., an insurance agency located in Troy, MI. He was dynamic and enjoyed the business. Bill had a passion working in the insurance industry. He was a true pioneer in the industry and was recognized as a leader earning many awards.
He loved golf, billiards, casinos, and college baseball. He always tried his luck picking a winner. More than anything else, he loved his family with passion and without reserve. He truly valued spending time with family and friends. Bill was always well respected and would offer help to anyone who was in need.
Bill is survived by his four children, Lynette Brasher (husband Billy), Scott Ferguson, Lindsay Lijewski (husband Matt), Lauren Ferguson, three grandchildren Masey Jordan (husband Nick), Hunter Ferguson, and Zachary Ferguson, brother Rickey Ferguson (wife Kay), very close nephew Larry Williams (wife Ester), nephew Derek Ferguson, and niece Candi Goodlett.
Bill will be greatly missed. There are countless memories to be treasured by everyone who loved him. It gives his family peace that he is with the Lord in heaven.
A Memorial Service will be held at AJ Desmond & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Visitation begins at 10:00 am. The service will be at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
