William Fischer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home on May 19, 2022.
Born in 1959, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, William Thomas (Tommy) Fischer Jr., passed away on May 11th, 2022, at the age of 63, in his retirement dwelling of Boerne, Texas. Tommy was battling some medical issues, and even though his heart had failed him, he has taken all the hearts of his family and friends.
As a young child, Tommy loved to play games with his stepmother and sisters. He taught his oldest sister to play chess, and the best advice he gave her about the game was, "always go after the queen."
Tommy met the love of his life, Elisa, at the University of Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, in 1984 where they had both worked for over thirty years. When Elisa first laid eyes on him, she knew it was meant to be. After some time asking Elisa out to see the Breakfast Club, he would also ask her hand in marriage in February 1985, where they would remain happily married for 37 years.
He honorably served in the US Army for five years and attained the rank of Specialist. He retired from the UT Health Science Center in 2018 after 34 years of dedicated service, where he was loved and cherished by many of his colleagues. He was always available to his sons to talk to and give wise counsel.
He is predeceased by his father, William Thomas Fischer; mother, Dorothy Evelyn Fischer; and stepmother, Adeline (Mary) Patience Fischer. He left behind: beloved wife, Elisa K. Fischer; sons, Brandon Bubeck, Jarrod Fischer and Kyle Fischer; daughter in laws, Natasha Bubeck and Marisa Fischer; and grandchildren: Aschelynne, Hannah, Aubrey, William, and Evelyn, who were the apple of his eye. He also leaves behind his sisters: Deborah Wohlschlegel (David Wohlschlegel), Linda Cosper (Ron Cosper), and Brenda Terrian (Jim Terrian); and numerous nieces and nephews.
I have said these to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. - John 16:33
