William James Edward Fox III was born April 11, 1946, in Belvidere, Illinois and passed away September 13, 2025, at home in Lake Tapps, Washington. He was happily in his "man cave" office talking with his wife Debbie. Bill attended St. Joseph Grade School, Marquette Catholic High School in Yakima, Washington, and the University of Washington, Seattle, studying Architecture. He had a wonderful talent for design, building a sturdy two floor party deck and beautiful landscaping at their first home for 40 fun filled years in Bellevue. The next move was to Newcastle, then in 2023 a downsize to Lake Tapps, Washington where he designed an awesome cabinet system in the family room and bar area in another.

Bill and Debbie met when they both lied on Queen Anne Hill in the Scripps Estate Mansion. They married a year later, October 23, 1971, and moved to St. Paul, Minnesota when Bill was transferred by Burlington Northern Railroad as an Efficiency Analyst/Property Tax department. Two years later, they returned to Seattle and Bill started Rainier Trucking Inc. He retired in 2005 prior to a kidney transplant.

He loved hunting, fishing, scuba diving, hiking, history, and travel, especially to Europe visiting with brother Gary (deceased) and visiting Aunts, Uncles, and cousins in Viginia. Vacations in Palm Springs were always great fun. One memorable trip was with Gary C. traveling through Normand seeing many battlefields. In Hawaii, he snorkeled, walked the beaches, climbed coconut and papaya trees, and ate anything fish related. But Bill's biggest passion was for flying his Cessna 172. He was happiest when taking many friends and family for lunches and adventures. He had many long-time close friends enjoying visits and phone calls with Andre, Ken, Dean, Jerry, Gary O., Doug, Ron, John P., from Yakima days, and Seattle area George, Terry C., and former neighbor Don V. He was a 45-year member with the Ballard Elks #827 and McAllister Museum of Aviation.

Bill was predeceased by his mother Rose Mary Bingo and father William James Edward Fox, Jr. of Yakima, Washington. He is survived by his wife Deberah Cushing Fox, brother, Greg Fox (Janet), nephews: Ryan Fox, Randy Fox (Lacey), Reed Fox (Michelle). Nieces: Taylor and Hadley Fox and nephew, Rowdy Fox. Also, in the Auburn area, Sister-in-Law Ruth Cushing and Cushing nephews; Michael (Kimberly), Mark (Annie), Christopher (Kimberly).

Celebrations of Life will be held in both the Seattle and Yakima areas at dates TBD.
