William Freeman Life Reflections
William "Joe" Freeman was born July 16, 1944, to the late Eleanor Freeman and the late Dave Morris in Williamston, North Carolina. Joe slipped into his eternal rest on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
Joe spent his younger years in Williamston with his grandfather just enjoying life. Joe received his education in Martin County. Later in life, Joe moved to Boston, Massachusetts where he spent many years.
Joe was united in holy matrimony to Catherine Holman on August 29, 1963.
Joe worked many jobs including Goldstein Office Furniture Company in Boston, MA where he worked until retirement. Upon retirement Joe and Catherine moved to Holly Hill, SC.
To know Joe was to love him. He was always the life of the event whenever he attended, full of laughs and jokes. He was what we called a "smart mouth". Joe loved fishing, hunting, hanging with his pals, and oh how he LOVED his garden. His garden was his pride and joy, it was simply beautiful. You cannot visit Joe without visiting his garden. Joe had a passion for gospel music, with his favorite song being, "God Is Still In Charge."
- HE WILL TRULY BE MISSED BY HIS FAMILY -
Joe leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Catherine of the home; five children, Sharon Edwards of Williamston, NC; William Freeman Jr., Eleanor Freeman, Stanley Freeman, and Barbara Holman all of Boston, MA; two sisters, Edna (Pastor Wayne) Parker and Brendell Freeman; two brothers, Wendell Freeman and Wheeler Brown; three aunts, Racheal, Rivera, and Anne Copeland; four uncles, Charlie Jr., John Lee, Louis, and Walter; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; four brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends.
